The Ruta Cultural i Patrimonial d’Albalat dels Tarongers aims to be a journey through the history and spaces of this town of La Baronia of Camp de Morvedre. From the different points of the itinerary we will discover new urban landscapes and monuments that will help us to learn curiosities and key aspects of population growth.
The origin of the populationwas a Roman villa that would be located under the stately palace. The Pla del Molí is the most important entrance of the population.
At the moment, apart from the impressive Palace, there is the old Llavaner Municipal (1), of which there is only one renovated part of the area to wash clothes. The steward and the back of the washer have been lost. In addition, although you can not visit it, behind theCasetes del Castell (2) you will find the Torn de la Séquia Major (3), a gate of the canal that gave way to water to the washer. As a lost item, it is worth noting that the Municipal Cistern, which is buried beneath the City Hall and which we only keep as a reminder, the ancient potter, el Canterer (4).
